Ghost Bunny

Who, or what is Ghost Bunny?

Ghost Bunny (sometimes GB, sometimes 🐇) is a character, an unpredictable friend, a ghost, a bunny, a concept, and a symbol all wrapped in one. What you see above is my first ever sketch of Ghost Bunny, drawn in one of my sketchbooks about 4 or so years ago. He was #1 of 6 characters created that day, belonging to the group titled: The Unusual Suspects. More on that later. Ghost Bunny primarily lived in this sketchbook as an idea until I began to bring Ghost Bunny into more of my artwork. Ghost Bunny really began to take off during my first exhibit, titled: Songs for Orpheus. In creating the exhibit I began developing a new world nested inside the classic greek myth.

Lore

Orpheus's visit below the surface didn't just have consequences for himself. He distracted Charon(💀), ferryman of the River Styx, he put cerberus(🐕) to sleep and burst into Hades' (👑) throne room without permission. In upsetting the harmony of the underworld he opened the door for some unexpected consequences. Primarily for the wildlife in the Elysian Fields. In this version of the myth 💀 also has duties of managing the ecology of the Elysian fields. While 💀 was distracted some of the wildlife escaped. Can you guess who escaped?

What do I do if I see a Ghost Bunny in the wild?

Be careful not to scare them away, snap a picture, and let me know via social media so I can keep Charon(💀) informed. He's working on catching them and bringing them back to their home in the underworld.

Tip: After you take a picture of Ghost Bunny, write a haiku about your experience. Ghost Bunny loves poetry, as it's one of their favorite human activities to mimic.
